1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!
Any graphics work that I did, either cropping, sizing, or creation, I did using Canvas X (or earlier) on a Mac.
I created this icon using Google mapping to make the maps. Last summer, we went on a road trip together for our family vacation. We drove to Cedar Point, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, Dartmouth and Cornell before coming home again. I wrote about our adventures here, here, and here.
I created this icon from a photograph taken at our superhero-themed Halloween Party. This was the year that Mystery Men was a summer movie, so we had some pretty creative superheroes. If I recall correctly, the winners included Cinder, who was PVC girl, and LaDonna_Rena, who created her costume using office supplies. I don't remember her superhero name, but I do remember her exquisite paperclip headdress.
For my costume, I used fabric paint to color an off-the-rack white corset by Frederick's. My visor was a tie-dyed fabric visor from Michael's, and I *think* the cape was from an earlier batgirl costume, although I may have that order reversed. I made a "Wonder Bitch" logo by adding a rainbow motif to the WB logo, and used that on my cape, and on the tag for my collar. I used tiedye to color the wrist cuffs, which included single rhinestones as "targets" for bullet repelling. I found Lycra briefs the right size to wear outside my opaque, "skin" colored (shiny) tights, for that authentic underwear-on-the-outside touch. In keeping with my costume name, I also had a tail. More lab than retriever, definitely not pit. My magic lasso doubled as a leash. I don't remember if I already had my knee-high, xxx-calf-size, purple leather boots at the time, but when I've reused the costume since then, that's how I've completed the ensemble. These days, I tend to leave out the tail and leash, and use the moniker "Wonder Babe" for the outfit. |

I made this icon from an image I found using Google Images. I used it to write about Camel, shortly after the break up, until I lost the need to write about him. The entries aren't tagged, and there're probably bitter rants, so I'm not looking them up to link here. However, to explain why I call him Camel, I'll point you to my cobwebsite about Raccoon Day.
The R is for Rice University, where my parents, Matt and I all attended, and where Critter is matriculating in the fall. I colored my raccoon cartoon in the school colors to nestle into the R.
I'm not happy with this icon, since it's too hard to read the message, but I've never gotten around to re-creating it. I got the error message "This Icon has been distracted by a shiny object. It may be away awhile." from an icon that Cinder found somewhere, but I decided I wanted it to have a Mac error window, rather than the Windows style on the icon she found.
