Small pause to reflect

I just got through cleaning out the drawers, cubbyholes, desktop surface and top surface of my roll top desk - pictures to follow. This is the first step in moving my bill paying operation from the kitchen to the family room. The roll-top desk has more space for temporary filing, postal supplies, etc. I'm hoping to really make it work this time, and not let the mess pile up like it has over the years.

The move is possible because I just bought mhaithaca's old 12" Powerbook G4. It's a perfect size to use at the roll-top, and supports OS X and all the software to which I've become addicted. Which means that step number two is installing the Treo 650 version of the Palm Desktop suite. The phone is going to be the simplest way to keep the address book and calendars in sync on the two computers, since I don't have a .mac account.

Ah. time to restart. :)
