We had a family meeting to discuss summer and Christmas vacation. Time is more of the issue than money this year, with is a welcome change. We settled on dates for Gaucha to visit, for Playuh to go and return, for Flar and I to travel for our 25th wedding anniversary, for me and the boys to drive to Texas, for me to attend a couple of conventions, and -- the biggest decision -- decided to take a Christmas cruise with my parents, instead of trying to fit in a summer vacation. When I get around to it, I'll post some sort of calendar of events.
After that, I drove Critter over to spend the night with a friend, and then had dinner with Ro and Knight. We watched Walk the Line and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Sunday, I picked up Critter in time to get to late service a bit early. That was nice, as I got the opportunity to chat with friends I haven't seen for a few weeks.
After church, we made a quick run to Meijer, then let Critter practice driving in the Kohl's parking lot. He got enough confidence to make the drive home from there. He is still stalling out sometimes, making the engine shudder other times; I'm not sure he'll be ready to test in my car, but he should be able to spell me on driving this summer.
