I got a coupon in email from Walden book this week. So the boys and I decided that a book would be just the choice for Flar for Father's Day. We chose The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century, by Thomas L. Friedman. Then Critter saw both the "Buy four books, get a fifth free" sign, and a book he wanted (another Artemis Fowl). Then Tigger found the Judy Blume display and a book he hasn't read yet. So we rounded out our selections with two cheap puzzle books. Then we had to choose between the coupon and the B4G1F offer. The highest price book was already 20% off, so no coupon. The second priced book was more than $16, and the lowest priced (therefore the potential free one) was only $3.99, so we used the coupon.
While we were out, I read email on my phone, paid the Chevron bill, and sent Flar email. Then I got home and screwed up the syncing between my phone's email client and my email server by emptying the trash. Any mail that I'd left on the server ended up being downloaded again on the next download. Sigh.
Since I'll usually be dumping mail off of the server regularly when I'm at home, it will only be a minor inconvenience while I'm traveling - I'll wait until I get home to empty the phone's trash. Of subject lines, which don't take up too much space.
The rest of the day looks to be a nice lazy one. :)
