Routine Ramblings of an Occasionally Interesting Housewife

The coach said to take a hot bath. :)
Fencing was yet again tiring tonight, but my legs are behaving better this week than last. I asked the instructor about my sore legs, and he recommended a hot bath tonight, and lots of stretching. We'll see how I'm walking tomorrow. :)

Tonight we donned the fencing jackets and masks, after warming up. Then the fire alarm went off. We left the masks and foils in the classroom, but wore the jackets out to wait around in the cold for the all-clear. I didn't envy the kids on the swim team...

We practiced touching, first without footwork, and then with a lunge. Then we practiced retreating away from the point.

I need to be more active. All of the movement feels like sprinting, where my normal activity level would be a leisurely stroll. I kept having to stop and rest and BREATHE.

I bowled over average this morning, but so did our opponents. We took one point.

Chess club kids reacted favorably to the addition of celery sticks and peanut butter to the snack. We went through a fresh bag of celery hearts.

Bath now. Then sleep. Tomorrow I have to get up early with the boys, to be fresh for BSF, and do last minute tidying.
