Routine Ramblings of an Occasionally Interesting Housewife

Pain is Ecstasy
Imagine an electric probe, a tiny blunted wire, piercing your tympanic membrane and setting fire to your ear canal, tympanic membrane, eustachian tube, ooh, ooh, it's burning my throat now, too.

I'm guessing that the pain is actually a sign of healing, since the drops merely felt like cold, wet on the first day. Swelling is down. There is still some tenderness with chewing. Cooking veggies to go with meat salads, rather than laying meat on crunchy veggie salads right now. Last night's meatloaf was heaven-sent, no matter that is was blander than air.

Okay, using the vinegar faithfully from now on, no matter how I hate the smell and flavor. My doctor told me to cut the concentration of the vinegar if it stings. Considering the disposable ear plugs to be one-time use only, since they *always* work on the first use.

And, confident that my ear is getting better. Pain has subsided again. Whew.
