Okay, so I rebelled, and by the time I left the wedding, I had my dress pulled down to expose my rainbow cups and my velvet boots off to show off my rainbow socks. I like color, what can I say?
I've never attended a goth wedding before, much less participated. The bridal party was was in black leather, velvet and lace. The officiate was dressed as a dark priest. The bouquets were black roses. The witnesses wore mourning attire. It was beautiful. Due to the lighting, I didn't find out until the picture-taking later in the evening, that the best man had loaned his little kilt to one of the male attendents who was wearing a skimpier kilt. Don't know if it would have startled me during the ceremony, or not. ;)
The cake was awesome. The couple were beautiful. The crowd was eclectic. The music was pervasive.
I missed my call with Wolf due to waiting on getting a dance with Cinder that turned into a tearful goodbye twirlie hug and chaste kiss. But I caught his text message good-night within 10 minutes, so risked a quick goodnight call, to at least hear his voice before sleeping.
Turnip called as I was getting ready to settle in for on-line time, then sleep. He's going to meet us at the airport in the morning before we leave. True love is showing up at the airport at 5am to see your NSLDSO.
I'm packed to fly home tomorrow. I have a map to the Avis center. We have the confirmation number for our ATA reservations. We leave in four and half hours to drive up to SFO.
Which means I need to end this and sleep.
