low-key weekend

Maybe this is why I'm having trouble being responsible:
My inner child is sixteen years old today

My inner child is sixteen years old!

Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while
adults might just accept that, I know
something's gotta change. And it's gonna
change, just as soon as I become an adult and
get some power of my own.

Anyway, I just got back from Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle at the dollar theatre. Ro treated me and Holmes, she's so sweet!

Before that, I helped the boys give the dogs all a bath. They should be sufficient dried now, in the sunny afternoon, and Critter's bringing them in for dinner.

I've made slow progress on my list. Got the Stampin' Up stuff put away, and started in on the kitchen table, but I keep including the paper as part of that chore, and getting distracted by reading. ;) I made muffins this afternoon, and don't have to figure out dinner - Critter has discovered that he can order pizza; he treated for dinner tonight.

Last night, i made a baked chicken, beef-flavored noodles and teriyaki vegetables for dinner. We watched Minority Report, then when the movie was over, I finished reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to the boys. I spent the rest of the evening chatting with Sydb on IM. Thinking that I'd work on the table while I was doing it, but no.

This morning, I counted it a victory to be out of bed before noon.

I need to make dinner plans for the rest of the week, since the boys will be on their own three out of the five school nights. Need to make sure we plan meals that I can fix ahead, or that they can fix themselves. Then I'll tackle some more of that weekend list.
