bundled up, walkabout, snow

getting put back together

Enough falling apart. Still moments of sadness, not helped by dreams that insist it didn't happen. But enough. Optimism is here, now comes productivity and that sense of accomplishment.

I got up with Flar this morning, instead of sleeping in. After all, I was awake, and sleeping in actually means going back to sleep these days. So I hauled myself out of bed to join him for Day 1 Breakfast: 2 muffin-sized spinach quiches (I liked more than he did, so the leftovers are diet 'kin-snack.), 6 oz. V-8 (the Kroger version) and caffeine-free tea. But I drank a bottle of Dr. Pepper anyway, since I'm working tonight.

Flar went off to work in his office, I wrangled Critter & Tigger into helping me jump-start the laundry. Critter helped me put new sheets on the bed -- the mattress bits come out so better with a partner on the other side of the bed. :)

I sorted all the dirty laundry in the master bedroom, then got Tigger to sort the dirty laundry from the laundry chute while Critter and I worked on sorting through the remains of two cars trips, that were still cluttering the jacuzzi room.

I've let the laundry pile up in the laundry room, so I'll be working on it all week. Right now I've got it to (1) fold lots of abandoned clean clothes and put away clean clothes and trip-related non-clothes that are spread out on top of the jacuzzi, (2) work through all the piles of sorted, dirty laundry and extra bedding in need of cleaning, and (3) wash multiple loads of hand-wash to air-dry. At that point, I should be able to clean the floor in the jacuzzi room and start maintaining it as clean space.

Other areas of the clean-up checklist: The dishes are caught up. The mail and quicken are mostly caught up, but the kitchen table is a mess, mostly a big pile of mommy-do. I'm current on reading the paper - saving today's for dinner break tonight. And I've been accumulating a new backlog of coupons. And still haven't sent the "won't be using these" anywhere. Sigh.

Ooh, and the bathrooms have fallen behind again. Waiting for outdoor plumbing work before I can clean two of them, but that is no excuse for the other two...

Gonna treat myself to a look in on my nation-state, then go back to work.

Flar and Knight are at Rotary, planning to eat lunch when they get back. We'll have Grilled Chicken Salad with Balsamic vinaigrette, with s.f. jello for dessert. Black Cherry, yum.

Work tonight, unless Opman calls to tell me differently.

Feeling awake, alive, productive and surprisingly, not hungry.
