bundled up, walkabout, snow

Today was to be my day to stay home and "do nothing." My plan was to load the DVD player with 5 DVDs and watch DVDs all day, reading email and LJ during movies I've seen, and lounging or doing handcrafts during movies I haven't seen.

We watched most of Sinbad before the player started screwing up, but it's royally screwing up at this point. We've cleaned the DVD player and more than one DVD, and now Flar is focusing on the transport control option buttons. Here's hoping he can get it to work.

Meanwhile, I've read email, and now I'm going to start reading everyone's LJs that I've missed for the past couple of weeks. Eventually, I'll get around to writing about my Christmas "holidays".

It was just tired.

We gave up, turned the player off and watched Holes on the Satellite.

Holes was neat. Very wonderful complex story that all knit together by the end.

And it lasted long enough that the player seems to be happy now.

I'm up to the "B"s in my friends list, reading journals rather than via my friends view.

The player got tired before the end of Finding Nemo, and that was starting with the fieldtrip scene. Which means extracting it from the wiring closet, where it's the bottom machine in a stack of three. Ick.

Now we're watching National Security and I'm up to H in my friends' journals.
