bundled up, walkabout, snow

Spring has sprung

And can weekend projects be far behind? We spend the early afternoon at Home Depot. What got us there was the treehouse project. But while we were there, I got rug to replace the one at the kitchen sink, and flower seeds and grass seeds and mulch and a hanging basket kit for growing strawberries.

So I've added to my list, and will get back to it, as soon as I finish my yummy lunch of cheeseburger and queso and chips.

The list:

    Monday - Pink
    Tuesday - Orange
    Wednesday - Yellow
    Thursday - Green
    Friday - Blue
    The Weekend - Purple

I'm a weather wimp

It wasn't even raining, much less sleeting. But the temperature dropped into the lower forties, and that was just too darned cold to work outside, especially in water.

So I fooled around online instead. I played a game of Scrabble with canuckgirl, until Flar was done with a business call. We were going to go to a movie together. He'd even talked to Gaucha last night instead of his usual time tonight, to make it possible. Then neither of us liked the choices that were after 7:30 enough to leave the house. So Flar made Kung Pao chicken, and we watched Kate and Leopold at home.

We figured out a perfect formula for a date movie: romantic time travel comedy. Flar was mediocre on the concept of a Meg Ryan flick, and Critter was planning to flee upstairs. When I read on the cover that it involved time travel, they were both interested.

It was a really fun movie. I really enjoyed it, and so did Flar and Critter. I especially enjoyed learning the valet's name. :)

And now it's time for bed. I had trouble getting to sleep last night, because I was coughing. Tonight I'll take a cough drop as soon as I turn out the light.

Some answers

It's not too late to ask a question:

canuckgirl: Yes¹. Yes. Given the right woman, and keeping in mind that my relationship map is much more complicated than it used to be. More people "have a say" in my life these days, and their opinions influence me heavily.

¹ Well, qualified yes, as the tense is inaccurate. I tend to be rather limpet-like when it comes to relationships. The labels may change, but there's still a relationship there, even if the fires are banked or doused.

caritas_skunk: It doesn't matter per se, but I hope they'll grow up learning to communicate thoroughly and not be content with societal assumptions. I'd like to see them make up their own minds.
