Afternoon update

The headache went away. Score!

The art exhibit was really more of an open house, with displays of lots of projects, not just specifically art class. It was fun to see not just what Critter's been up to, but also what his friends have done, too.

I kicked butt at bowling! Woo hoo! 161, 137 & 160. Unfortunately, we were playing the top team, who creamed us, but it was still fun playing so much over my average.

I'm officially an ole country gal. You know, I live up the street from where the Lil Red Piano Shop used to be. And today, I walked from the courthouse to Where the Old Library Was, to find the new location of the Sheriff's office. Hee hee hee. I like living in a small town.

One of the Bikey Boyz buyers is pretty anxious. Slight change in afternoon plans, to print out stuff and get his package ready to ship.

There and back again

An update while the hamburger is cooking.

We just got back from grocery shopping, but with double coupons up to $1, we saved 33% tonight. Tigger wants Chili Mac for dinner; since it's his birthday, he gets to choose.

Oh, I forgot to mention before, that I changed Flar's cell phone plan. He was going over on minutes a couple of months in a row, so I called up to get him more minutes. (Both the phones are in my name, so that I can do this kind of calling.) In the course of the conversation with the Cingular customer service representative, I found out that (a) the current nationwide plans don't allow for unlimited nights and weekends, and (b) they would want to extend his contract by 11 months if I changed his calling plan. I said I'd have to check with him, since he's pretty keen on not having a contract. The woman then asked me to wait while she talked to her supervisor, and got permission to (a) waive the 11 month contract extension and (b) offer me one of the old nationwide plans. Because I'm "such a long-time customer". So now Flar gets 850 minutes a month, still has unlimited nights and weekends, and still doesn't have a contract. And I'm(once again) impressed with Cingular's customer service.

faux-grump

I don't get phone call with Wolf tonight.

Because I'm going on a bona fide date with Wolf tomorrow night!

And it's going to be an impossibly long day for him tomorrow, because he has to go in to work early, and then the concert will probably last until late. Etc. etc.

He's picking me up and driving, and everything!

And I'm dressing up, which I hardly do these days, and well, treating the date as a date. :)

Whee!!!!!

Planning for tomorrow

Well, I got the countertop clean, from the microwave to the drain board, including the range. Considering that Flar made s'ghetti for the sleepover Saturday night, this was a feat. He cannot cook s'ghetti sauce without making impressive amounts of splatter. Including the tile wall behind the range. I got that, too.

While I was cleaning, the boys watched Jonah, and I played Scrabble with Wolf and Sydb and Canuckgirl. I got to hear The Song That Plays Under the Credits again. I'm going to have to record it with the Mac mic to get a wav of it. I'm getting better at Scrabble, I think. But I keep playing competition that is way above me.

The whites are in the dryer, so now I can concentrate on making a list for tomorrow and go to bed.
