bundled up, walkabout, snow

Sleepy Deb

Yet another jeans day. Fayette county and Jessamine county cancelled school, and The Lexington School is in session.

After I dropped the boys off at school, I went by and picked up the police report about my accident on Wednesday. I haven't even read it yet -- when I got home, I was so sleepy I went back to bed.

Two hours later, I woke up. Still feeling drugged. Oh wait, I am drugged: I just went back on allergy meds, and Zyrtec does this, until my body gets used to it.

Just after I'd finally pulled myself awake, Bébé called. Seems he was following up on the bug I put in his ear last Sunday, for money. He got the details on Critter's GPS unit, which was a three-way present from B&ecute;bé, Mom and us. His share is $50. And I wrote a check for 10 weeks of Tigger's bowling, for another $50. I get to do the follow-up work these things, since the payments and reimbursements get accounted for as Cash:Deb. I'm going over there Sunday to help him with Mac stuff, and he'll give me a check then.

Got up, lunched, and now I'm getting paperwork ready for chess club and the tournament tomorrow.

After that, I'll do some straightening with a motive of getting all the mail together in one spot, to deal with tonight after dinner.

Conditions for Nicholasville, as observed at Lexington's Bluegrass Airport, at 11:54 am: 10°F / -12°C Partly Cloudy.

Ready for another tournament

Chess Club was crowded again. Coach has made contact with the screening place, so I did an initial survey of interest in getting chess shirts, and spent the afternoon checking the insides of collars for sizes.

The bean soup has too much water, too many tomatoes, and not enough beans. I added the rest of the cans of beans from the pantry. If it still seems to thin tomorrow, I may add barley. I love crockpot cooking.

I had some changes to make to the roster for the tournament, so I re-printed the sheet I use to record scores, the sheet with USCF ID numbers, and the sheet with phone numbers. Then I called a couple of the kids that are registered for the tournament, that I hadn't verified during club today. One of them has a fever and might not come tomorrow, the other didn't think he was signed up, and his family has made other plans.

Still kind of groggy-sleepy. Gonna go to bed after checking email.
