new words, surprising results

a columnist in yesterday's paper used the word neocon. I'm thinking it's not some narrowly targetted matrix mini-con. In fact, it's a shortening of "neoconservative" that's fast becoming ordinary political speak.

In my search to verify my guess about what neocon meant, I found a page describing it, that linked to an ideology selector:

My #1 result for the selector, Ideology Selector, is Radical

The other choices, in the order selected by my answers to the quiz were:

#2 Liberal
#3 Neoconservative
#4 Third Way
#5 Left-libertarian
#6 Conservative
#7 Libertarian
#8 Centrist
#9 Paleoconservative
#10 Paleo-libertarian

Oh, and the page I mentioned above defines all the political labels used in the ideology selector.
