I don't feel like a got a lot done today, but I took a lot of steps doing it. I took 8429 steps today, equivalent to walking 3.33 miles.
Bowling was fun. The doorprizes were liked, the decorations were admired, and many goodbyes were said. The regular season is over, and most people won't be bowling in a summer morning league, so it was goodbye until this fall, when the next regular season starts. We bowled no-tap. My first game was dismal - only 135. But I bowled a 179 in the second game, with only ONE no-tap frame. I got lots of natural and no-tap strikes in the third game, and bowled 188. Whee!
The most unusual thing about my bowling today was that I rolled a natural strike in the very first frame. Usually, I can go till the second game before I roll a real strike. But this meant that I had early selection from the gift exchange, and my gift was really neat: a 16 piece dish set. It's plates, dessert plates, bowls and mugs. They are decorated with an old diner theme. I've decided to let the boys use these dishes upstairs in the playroom, with the toaster oven & microwave that we have up there.
After bowling, I replenished the junk food we buy from Sam's, and leied the nurse at my allergist's office. It was fun to spend the day out wearing luau attire.
I cooked "real" food for dinner: baked chicken with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese coating, Lipton's noodle side dish and teriyaki veggies.
After dinner, I got frustrated when I wanted to play a game of Scrabble and either Explorer or Playsite was making the window too small for my game room. I couldn't see the toolbar at the bottom, and then I couldn't see the tiles in my rack. Argh.
So I suppose it made it complete, when Wolf and I couldn't get the RSVP form to operate correctly on the first try. Sigh. PHP forms the first page properly, but the submit and reset buttons don't operate. Sent a note to Turnip, hoping he can clear this up.
And now it's terrifically late. I likely won't leave the house tomorrow until time to pick up the boys. Ideally, I'll have dinner ready to eat early before time to take Tigger to gymnastics. We'll see.
