Oh my gosh, you haven't lived until you've seen third graders perform Hamlet. It's Shakepeare on speed: they reduced the play to twelve scenes, no mention of acts, and were done in about 50 minutes. T was cute as Laertes. I'm embarrassed to say I'd forgotten who Laertes was until I saw the play this morning: Ophelia's brother.
I started out bowling well, but then I went downhill. I bowled 149, 130 & 113. We took the second game, but that was it.
knightaudit &
disheveledhair are on their way to Orlando now. Knight thinks we may meet up for lunch on their way back, our way there. I'm supposed to call my relatives who live outside Macon when we've got an estimate on our arrival, and they'll drive to our hotel to meet us. Heck, we might get free lunch and dinner out of the deal. ;)
Mom was going to buy tickets to Islands of Adventure at her AAA, but there's some regional nonsense, and her AAA doesn't sell those tickets. So she called my AAA and did a phone order. I picked up the tickets after bowling. Since I was already downtown, I stopped at the Post Rider station to drop off bills and buy postage. There was a bit of a line, but I spent much of it on the phone with my mom. No one glared at me, and I was off the phone before I needed to talk to the woman at the counter.
I got a call from Bébé while I was bowling. It seems that the optician persists in calling him, because he and Barbar originally bought the glasses for Tigger as a Christmas present. Anyway, the temple piece is in, so I've got to bring Tigger by to have them put it on and adjust it.
I'm going to plan out the rest of the week's food, sticking a few "leftovers" dishes into the mix, so we leave Flar with easy eating. The grocery list should be short today.
I decided to strip the bed and wash the sheets before the rest of the laundry, so we can have fresh sheets (without changing the comforter). So the laundry is already running, and I'll probably have most of it washed tonight. I need to pick through the hand-wash basket, to figure out I want to bring on vacation.
And convalescing darkwolf69 just talked me into a game of Scrabble, including
sysdb42.
